- ➤ James Jones recited Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech today at a community event in Lynchburg, marking a tribute to his legacy and reinforcing the call for equal rights. The News & Advance
- ➤ MLK Day events honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday when the MLK Community Council held a breakfast at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance building and Lexington hosted a CARE Rockbridge parade at Randolph Street United Methodist Church — Randolph College will celebrate tonight with guest speaker Stedman Graham.
