- ➤ Construction began Monday at College Park to upgrade its stormwater system from a one-year to a 10-year storm event—F&B Contractors will work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on new pipes, ponds, culverts and native plantings for about 12 months, and the park will reopen once all improvements are complete. - ➤ StepStone Family & Youth Services launched a blanket drive yesterday to support foster children in our community—local residents are encouraged to donate blankets to provide extra warmth during the colder months. WDBJ7

- ➤ Lynchburg City Schools is hosting a public town hall where families, staff, students, and residents can help shape its 2026-31 strategic plan. The meeting will take place at a local school facility (details forthcoming). The News & Advance
