CULTURE NEWS

  • On Feb. 18, Timberlake Christian Church in Lynchburg offered a drive-through service for Ash Wednesday, giving busy drivers a chance to receive ashes and a prayer for Lent. Interim pastor Jack Thomas said the option helped people pause and reflect amid hectic schedules.  WSET

  • New classrooms in the former auditorium at Amherst County High School began serving students, according to a renovation update. The improved space near the front entrance will help meet growing classroom needs.  The News & Advance
