Glass High School with a 'Black history then and now' program that honored the African American community through essays, speeches and dance performances featuring 106-year-old Mildred Carter Rose and a 13-year-old published author. - ➤ Cyrus Pace, who led Jefferson Center for 15 years, will finish his role on March 13 and take a new leadership position at Lynchburg's Academy Center of the Arts on April 7 & he said his move offers a fresh opportunity for growth. Cardinal News

Join Lynchburg Beacon of Hope for HOPEx, the 5th annual evening of live storytelling themed “Hope in Action,” featuring local speakers and Lynchburg City Schools alumni making an impact in the community. Emceed by Executive Director Leidra McQueen with music by Flat Five Jazz, the event highlights stories of everyday hope while supporting scholarships, internships, and post-graduation opportunities for Lynchburg’s youth.
