- ➤ The 17th annual Empty Bowls event will begin tomorrow morning at 10:30 at the Academy Warehouse where residents will choose handmade bowls served with soup, bread, and dessert while live music plays—proceeds will benefit Lynchburg Daily Bread. Organizers say they plan to break last year's record—over $11,000 raised—to help serve more meals to those in need. WSET

- ➤ The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating the death of a man found at the scene of a shooting Thursday afternoon—authorities have not released additional details. The News & Advance

- ➤ On Tuesday, March 18th, Lynchburg Regional Airport hosted a vendor open house at the Hilton Garden Inn to detail the upcoming Runway 4-22 Rehabilitation Project—which will begin this summer and use a mill and fill method in 300-ft sections to limit daytime disruptions. Airport Director Cedric Simon said the improvements will support future growth and maintain airport safety. City of Lynchburg
