The Village Garden Club of Amherst is holding its annual Garden Fest on April 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A man was injured when his motorcycle was rear-ended on Timberlake Road Saturday, April 5—reports show his injuries were minor—and the other driver stayed at the scene while police investigated the crash.

County workers will apply a protective stain to the wooden parts of the bridge connecting Percival’s Island and Amherst County from April 14th to April 18th—traffic will be limited during the work.

The bridge will remain open to pedestrians and vehicles throughout the maintenance.
