- ➤ DISH Network removed local channel WDBJ7 — part of Gray Media's lineup — after a month-long dispute over contract terms. Gray Media said DISH rejected proposals after offering multiple extensions during severe weather and major events; WDBJ7 remains available on other TV services. WDBJ7
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Cardinal is hosting 250-themed trivia nights at local breweries starting April 27 in Danville, with events in Lynchburg, Roanoke, and more, and winners advancing to a regional tournament on May 30; the project expands into a digital graphic novel for fourth graders with graphic artist applications due by May 15. - ➤ A $4.2 million GO Virginia grant with extra regional funds will expand 3D printing and additive manufacturing—creating up to 100 jobs over two years—and a new clean room at Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC recently opened to support clinical therapy research and training.
