- ➤ Three men accused of killing Crumbl Cookies manager Anthony Davis had their charges certified in Lynchburg General District Court on Wednesday—Kevin Brown, Jermaine Hawkins, and Jayon Phelps now face charges for murder and other firearm crimes, with one charge against Phelps dropped—and the case will move to a grand jury. - ➤ A Lynchburg 25-year-old man, ZayKeese Brown, was fatally shot at his Bedford Avenue home Tuesday night while playing video games online, and his family held a candlelight vigil on the Riverside Park basketball court — where his coach DJ Best gave his number 10 jersey — as Lynchburg Police review surveillance footage and seek the suspect.
