- ➤ Liberty Meadows Farm Sanctuary is on a 16-acre property 25 minutes from Lynchburg and houses nearly 75 displaced and aging animals (bunnies, goats, sheep, horses, alpacas, llamas, and pigs). Chloe Cubbage, who began the rescue in 2021, runs the sanctuary along with an Airbnb and 10 buildings while seeking committed volunteer help. The News & Advance

- ➤ A 45-year-old Lynchburg resident — Lewis Anderson Banks — was arrested on Sunday after stealing a purse from a shopping cart near Timberlake Road and is held at Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond. WSET
- ➤ The Lynchburg Police Department is asking the public to help identify a person seen in security footage from the fatal shooting of ZayKeese Brown on May 6 at a home on Bedford Avenue—officials ask anyone with information to contact Detective Dubie. WSET

- ➤ At Randolph College's commencement at WildCat Stadium, Academy Center of the Arts CEO Geoffrey Kershner urged 110 graduates to build a home wherever they go and invest in their community after sharing his own journey of finding belonging when he moved to Lynchburg. He told the graduates that home is created by individuals through hard work and determination. The News & Advance
