  • Angels of Assisi welcomed 16 rescue dogs from Puerto Rico over the weekend — each saved from abuse, abandonment, or street life via Vieques Humane Society’s Sato Project and now set to be placed in new homes.  WDBJ7
  • Builders, architects and sponsors gathered at a unique wedge-shaped block for a floor signing that launches the 2026 Central Virginia St. Jude Dream Home. The event highlights a community effort to support a cause that benefits young families.  WSET
  • Brittany Smith will open a new barber shop in Lynchburg’s historic Humbles Building this summer as part of a redeveloped Fifth Street project that includes renovated apartments and mixed-use spaces.
