At a Lynchburg school board meeting, students from Dearington, Linkhorne, and Dunbar Middle Schools were recognized for success in the National History Day contest — several will advance to national competition in Maryland in June — and the superintendent was honored.

Lynchburg City Council is accepting applications for three open school board seats as announced on Wednesday + interested community members should review the application instructions in the official news release.
