- ➤ The Lynchburg Police Department opened its new $50M headquarters on Odd Fellows Road Friday + uniting its former units to improve operations. - ➤ On June 30, 2025, Lynchburg’s consultant team will begin surveys and field work along Old Forest Road, Lynchburg Expressway, Lakeside Drive, Whitehall Road, Peace Street, and Chapel Lane for the US 501/US 221 Intersection Improvement Project — the work is expected to take several weeks and may require lane closures for safety. The team will contact property owners in advance if work is needed on private property, and the project aims to improve safety, increase capacity, and reduce traffic delays. City of Lynchburg
