Framatome opened a renovated nuclear training center in Lynchburg with a $50 million upgrade to train workers before they start at power plants.

Governor Glenn Youngkin attended Thursday’s ribbon cutting and the upgrade is expected to create at least 500 new local jobs—while the facility plans new tools for future small modular and advanced reactors.

Authorities reported that a homicide victim was found on a road in Lynchburg on July 17th at 5:49 p.m. and said the investigation is underway.
