Lynchburg celebrated the 2nd Annual Good Trouble Lives On Weekend this past weekend as local nonprofits and community groups hosted fun activities — residents joined in volunteer events and local gatherings that highlighted the city’s spirit.

Community members gathered Saturday for Lynchburg's second annual Good Trouble Lives On weekend to honor John Lewis’s legacy and spur local civic action.

Desmond Mosby and candidate Nat Marshall encouraged residents to get involved beyond voting (a call for increased community participation).

Lynchburg officials have asked residents and local businesses to reduce water use as drought conditions persist to protect the city’s water supply.

Mayor Larry Taylor said simple changes like washing vehicles less often can help and that additional conservation measures will be added if the drought worsens.
