- ➤ A new podcast called 'Liberty Lost' alleges that women at the Liberty Godparent Home on Liberty Mountain Dr in Lynchburg were pressured to place their babies for adoption during their pregnancies. The maternity home, founded in 1982 as part of a pro-life ministry, denied the allegations and called the podcast irresponsible journalism. WSET
- ➤ With high temperatures expected during a heat wave, the Salvation Army is opening a cooling station at 2215 Park Avenue from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Friday to Sunday—staff will also serve free dinner at 4:30 p.m. daily to help neighbors in need. WSET

- ➤ The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a hit—run on Friday at 2:07 p.m. on Enterprise Drive that left 28-year-old Brandon Salvia dead when his motorcycle struck a tree—and is asking for information on a white Tesla with black rims and dark tinted windows that may have been involved. - ➤ Lynchburg police are looking for a second suspect in the murder of Zaykeese Brown—authorities executed a search warrant on Twin Oak Drive Friday and now seek 25-year-old Terrell O’Brian Moss, who is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. WSET
