- ➤ Since 2021, the City of Lynchburg spent nearly $150K fighting Councilman Martin Misjuns' suit after he was fired from the fire department for bullying. Misjuns says his firing broke his free speech when he posted anti-trans remarks—he now wants $450K and to reopen the case. WSET

- ➤ Centra Lynchburg General Hospital was recognized with the American College of Cardiology’s Chest Pain — MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for the 10th time, placing it among the top 5% of hospitals for heart attack care.
