A community group announced a campaign to ease food insecurity in Lynchburg by connecting residents with food resources.

Officials said the program will soon offer support to families in need—helping expand access to local food banks.

Friends of RCACP is holding a low-cost spay and neuter clinic for large dogs today in Lynchburg.

The clinic charges $30 for surgery plus a $15 weight fee for male dogs and $45 plus the same fee for female dogs weighing 60 to 89 lbs, with prices increasing for larger dogs—a $20 rabies vaccine and an extra $18 for females in heat are also available.

Ivy Creek Innovation Park in Lynchburg received a $4M grant for site development from the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program—one of 13 sites statewide to share in a total of $40M in development funds.

The grant will help support local improvements and business growth.

Liberty Christian Academy announced an expansion on Monday that will add a new auxiliary gym and state-of-the-art field house (located next to Candlers Mountain Road) and later convert an existing gym into 17 classrooms and offices; groundbreaking is set for later this month.
