The Lynchburg Humane Society received at least 10 cats needing vaccines and treatment after an owner surrendered them due to overcrowding—its medical team is examining each animal while the shelter calls for fosters, donations, and supplies like cat food.

Once the cats recover, they will be offered for adoption.

The Lynchburg Fire Department unveiled a new EMS supervisor vehicle with a special box addition designed to carry every vital emergency medical supply.

The Lynchburg City School Board tabled a motion to partner with Enterprise Fleet Management for a five-year plan to replace the aging vehicles used by the school division — a move intended to lower costs and boost safety.
