- ➤ A fire destroyed a home on the 1100 Block of Cedar Cove Street in Bedford County on Wednesday, September 10th, displacing three adults while a dog evacuated on its own and no injuries were reported after officials responded at 6:08 a.m. & multiple fire crews worked to put out the blaze. WSET

- ➤ On Tuesday evening, Lynchburg City School leaders presented a plan to spend $60 million on building upgrades including roof replacements, field updates, and new gym construction. Superintendent Dr. Somerville-Midgette said bids were being placed and an extra $5.2 million might be allocated to move up renovations at Sandusky Elementary—city council members praised the detailed plan while warning of possible future school closures.
