- ➤ Buttercup and Friends Cafe has opened in the Boonsboro area, serving fresh coffee, pastries, sandwiches, salads & charcuterie boards from a restored 1969 Swinger camper. Pastry chef Shakira Robinson, a culinary instructor at Central Virginia Community College, says the spot welcomes customers Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. WSET

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Youngkin announced that $2.8 million in GO Virginia grants have funded ten projects to boost manufacturing and technology statewide—Campbell County and Lynchburg received $99,999 to develop a web-based talent portal and recipients secured an extra $1.2 million in local and private funding to expand cybersecurity and advanced manufacturing training programs. - ➤ Starting Monday, September 29 through October 31, a temporary lane closure near 1014 Langhorne Road will affect traffic on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. — crews will sample soil and asphalt and flagging will be in place while emergency vehicles retain access. City of Lynchburg
