- ➤ Today, the Lynchburg Film Festival returns to the Academy Center for the Arts for its second year with over 30 films from both local and international directors — offering a mix of dramas, comedies, animations, documentaries, and more. The festival runs from 12 to 9 p.m. and features vendor booths and activities for visitors. WSET

- ➤ Hayfield State Park officially opened Oct. 24 and now invites local residents to enjoy its new trails and recreational facilities. WDBJ7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lynchburg Regional Airport will add two new flight destinations in spring 2026 to connect passengers to Chicago O’Hare and Washington, D.C. Dulles using United Express flights operated by SkyWest Airlines; the service will run seven days a week with about 100 extra seats per day and begin on March 24, 2026—city officials announced. WDBJ7
