- ➤ Starting next March, United Airlines will offer daily direct flights from Lynchburg Regional Airport to Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, giving people a quicker way to travel. The News & Advance

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lynchburg Parks and Recreation said the Ed Page Entrance and small parking lot at Awareness Garden will be closed Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting) for parking lot expansion work. If weather delays the project, closures may extend into Wednesday. WSET
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ More than 300 people in Lynchburg joined the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday—raising $95,000 for research, care and awareness of the disease. Lindsey Parnell, the local Alzheimer’s Association development director, said the event was very emotional and the group plans to raise up to $140,000 in the next 30 days. WSET
