  • Saint Francis Service Dogs is hosting its Angel Tree event to help pups in training get treats and toys for the holiday season. Families can pick ornaments at locations like Tanglewood Mall (or drop off gifts at designated spots) to support these future service dogs.  WSLS 10
  • David Conley from Maine has sold Christmas trees in Lynchburg for 36 years and brings 1,800 trees from Nova Scotia to the Rookie’s parking lot each year—he says the friendly climate and local people keep him coming back.  WSET
  • A Lynchburg emergency communications officer helped deliver a baby before EMS arrived, marking the first assisted birth in four years at the center. Officer Kim Hise, with 40 years of service, earned praise from the Lynchburg Police Department as both mother and baby are healthy.  WSET
  • Shelter animals in Lynchburg enjoyed a special Thanksgiving meal on Thursday—community members donated canned food that filled their bowls and brought extra joy. Lynchburg Humane Society said the generous donations provided extra enrichment for the pets for weeks to come.  WSET

  • Happy Lemon, a new boba tea shop, opened yesterday at Rosedale Apartments on Graves Mill Road and will offer tea, smoothies, frozen lemonade and bubble waffles.
