  • Lynchburg’s Salvation Army (2215 Park Ave) opened a winter shelter to provide warmth amid temperatures dipping below 38°F. The shelter offers hot drinks, snacks, and activity sessions and will serve anyone in need until the weather warms.  WSET
  • Residents in Hill City gathered Saturday at Old City Cemetery for the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony – about 1,000 wreaths were placed on graves to honor fallen heroes. Veterans, families and community members paid tribute as the wreaths remain through mid-January.  WSET

  • Interfaith Outreach Association hosted its annual historic church tour today, inviting community members to explore nearly 200 years of faith, architecture, and shared stories at some of the city’s oldest churches (showing unity among different traditions).  WSET
