- ➤ Lynchburg’s Salvation Army (2215 Park Ave) opened a winter shelter to provide warmth amid temperatures dipping below 38°F. The shelter offers hot drinks, snacks, and activity sessions and will serve anyone in need until the weather warms. WSET
- ➤ Residents in Hill City gathered Saturday at Old City Cemetery for the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony – about 1,000 wreaths were placed on graves to honor fallen heroes. Veterans, families and community members paid tribute as the wreaths remain through mid-January. WSET
