- ➤ Vector Space launched its BYO—Build Your Own mentorship program with Big Brothers Big Sisters and BWX Technologies to help local high school students design and build a 12-foot Adirondack chair, which was installed at Miller Park on August 27. - ➤ A Lynchburg judge sentenced 38-year-old Nathaniel Fuller to six years in prison with one year suspended for strangling a woman at a hotel on Candlers Mountain Road; the judge dismissed his aggravated sexual battery conviction for lack of evidence—crediting him for nearly 15 months served—after the incident left the victim injured and hospitalized.
