- ➤ Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, died after being shot by a sniper at a rally at Utah Valley University and had a long-standing relationship with Liberty University where he was scheduled to speak in October—university officials and students held a prayer vigil on campus and recalled his influence on young people. - ➤ Presbyterian Cemetery held a wreath-laying ceremony on September 11 to honor 9/11 heroes as 24 years passed since Flight 11 struck the North Tower—displaying a memorial with a Lynchburg steel replica of the Twin Towers funded by Adrian Gagesteyn. WSET
- ➤ Yesterday, Lynchburg Workout Anytime Gym honored 9/11 first responders by hosting a tribute event at its facility—drawing local community members to remember their service. The event recognized the courage and sacrifice of these responders and brought the community together in respect. WDBJ7
